Please log all hours.  It is important to log all your volunteer hours for on and off campus volunteer efforts. The Texas Legislature enacted a bill that encourages parent involvement as one of the many steps towards state accreditation. To comply with this, we report volunteer hours to the District every month.  At year-end, the District calculates how much it would have cost to pay for all the hours volunteered. This amounts to millions of dollars District-wide, and is used to:

• Help the district obtain the best bond ratings when needed.
• Determine which campuses can support educational pilot programs.
• Help the district obtain grants to be used district wide for equipment, programs & more.
